The 6–7 hour drive to Samburu National Reserve showcases Kenya’s diverse landscapes, from fertile farmland to semi-arid plains. DAY   1

Nairobi - Amboseli National Park

  

You will be picked up from your hotel at 08:30 am and be driven to Amboseli National Park in a safari jeep. Amboseli is worldly known as the home to the African Elephant. A lot of animal and bird species are found too. Upon arrival, you'll check in at AA Lodge a perfect time for a hot lunch followed by some rest. Thereafter, depart for an evening game drive upto 1800hrs and return for dinner and overnight at the lodge.


DAY   2

Full day Amboseli game drive



You'll begin your day with a thrilling sunrise game drive, a perfect moment to witness predators in action and observe wildlife as the savannah awakens. Return to the lodge for breakfast after which you'll depart with a picnic lunch to enjoy the rest of the day's game drives. The park contains swampy grounds in which elephants and hippos bathe in abundance. A variety of plains game, antelopes and birds can also be seen and Mt. Kilimanjaro’s peak too if weather conditions permit. Have a picnic lunch inside the park as you continue with your game drives only to return inthe evening for dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Amboseli- Nairobi

Masai Mara - Lake Nakuru


After having your morning breakfast, you will have an optional visit to the masai village to learn about their culture and purchase some souvenirs and depart Masai Mara for  Lake Nakuru. Lake Nakuru National Park - Nairobi


After your early morning breakfast, you will check out of the hotel and proceed for a game drive at Lake Nakuru National Park. The park is well known for it's flamingos and other bird species over 400 and animals like lions, hyenas, buffalos, zebras, both black and white rhinos, baboons, monkeys, warthogs and many other. Nairobi - Masai Mara

  

You'll begin your journey in the heart of Nairobi's CBD, with departure from our designated meeting point at Moi Avenue near City Hall-Way or Mama Ngina Street. From here, you will travel westward towards the world's-famous Masai Mara. The drive takes you through ever-changing landscapes, beginning with the bustling city scene before opening up to sweeping views of the Great Rift Valley. A short stop-over at the Rift Valley viewpoint allows you to take some pictures at this dramatic escarpment. By late afternoon, you will arrive at Lenchada Tourist Camp, with time to relax, settle in and enjoy the simple camp's atmosphere before dinner and your overnight stay.

Full day Masai Mara game drive



You'll have an early breakfast then set off with your picnic lunch for a full-day adventure across the Masai Mara, one of Africa's most iconic wildlife destinations. The reserve has endless golden plains dotted with acacia trees providing a perfect backdrop for incredible game viewing. With its vast network of tracks, the Mara offers some of the closest wildlife encounters in Kenya making it a paradise for photographers and nature lovers alike.
You will search for the legendary Big Five – lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino. You'll also look for other animals such as cheetahs, giraffes, zebras and countless bird species. Nairobi - Masai Mara

  

Early in the morning, you will be picked up in Nairobi by your driver guide who will brief you on your safari before you depart for Masai Mara.
The travel time to Mara will take around 5-6 hrs. Along the way, there will be a stop over at the Great Rift Valley where you can take photos of the sheer drop of the Rift Valley, as well as the nearby Suswa Ranges and Mount Longonot.
Upon arrival at Mara, you will settle in at Zebra Plain Mara Camp and have your lunch. You will rest for a while before proceeding on an afternoon game drive at Masai Mara National Reserve
Later, you will return to the camp for dinner and your overnight stay.


DAY   2

Full day Masai Mara game drive



You'll have an early breakfast then set off with your picnic lunch for a full-day adventure across the Masai Mara, one of Africa's most iconic wildlife destinations. Our experienced tour guide driver will take you in search of the famous Big Five among other animals including hyenas, cheetahs, jackals, warthogs, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, wildebeest, and various bird species. A picnic lunch will be served at Mara River as you witness the famous migration.
A visit to a Masai village will be arranged after lunch by your driver guide. This visit gives a good tour of Maasai's culture. You will be welcomed with a song and dance presentation, which is part of their daily routines and sacred rituals. 
After the game drive, you will return to the camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

DAY   1

Nairobi - Masai Mara

  

You will be picked up at a designated pick-up point in Nairobi and drive to Masai Mara with a stopover at the Great Rift Valley for photography. You will continue driving on through Longonot and Suswa and onto the Western walls with another stopover at Narok for re-fueling. You will arrive at Fair Camp less than 1 hour drive from Mara in time for your lunch. Later on, you will proceed for an evening game drive in the Mara popular for the Big Five (lions, elephants, leopards, buffalo, and rhinos). You will return to your camp late in the evening in time for dinner and an overnight stay. 


DAY   2

Full day Masai Mara game drive



You'll have a full day at the Masai Mara National Reserve. You will be driving across the plains in search of the big cats (black manned lions, cheetahs, and leopards) with a picnic lunch served at the Mara River site. Vast herds of wildebeest and zebras wander across the Mara grasslands in huge numbers during this period of the annual migration when millions of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle traverse the Mara plains landscape to feed on the rich new grass from the Serengeti. You also have a chance to see other plain game like the topi, heartbeest, and elands. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the camp.


DAY  3

Masai Mara - Lake Nakuru


Leave the Masai Mara after breakfast with an optional Masai village visit and travel across the ‘breadbasket’ of Kenya, where acres of wheat and barley litter the landscape as you head north to Narok, the district headquarters of this part of Maasai land. Now travel across the vast plains on the floor of the Rift Valley, keeping an eye out for herds of giraffes and gazelles as you head up the Mai Mahiu, before arriving at Nakuru around midday and check in at Buraha Zenoni Hotel followed by lunch and an afternoon game drive only returning to the hotel as the sun sets.
The national park, known for its birdlife, offers a possibility to view flamingos and other birds. It is also home to black and white rhinos as well as the endangered Rothschild giraffe. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Buraha Zenoni Hotel.


Day 4

Depart Nakuru and head Back to Nairobi City

After an early morning breakfast, do your final game drive at Lake Nakuru and drive back to Nairobi City. You will have stop-overs in the towns to give you a chance to buy souvenirs. You will arrive late in the afternoon. Afterward, you will be dropped off at the hotel.

DAY  1

Nairobi - Amboseli


Your safari will starts when you will be picked-up at 7:30am from your hotel or airport in Nairobi, from where you will be driven to Amboseli National Park.
You will arrive in Amboseli shortly after noon and check into your lodge, take your lunch and rest before your afternoon game drive at 4:00pm. 
Amboseli National Park has the greatest concentration of elephants in the world and is home to over 450 species of birds.
After the game drive, you will return to the lodge, freshen up and enjoy a freshly prepared dinner and your overnight stay.


DAY  2

Full day Amboseli National Park Game Drive


You will have breakfast then prepare to go for a full day game drive.
You will have picnic lunch in the afternoon within the national Park with great views of the snow-caped Mt Kilimanjaro in the vicinity.
Amboseli has a myriad of biodiversity like buffalos, wildebeest, impalas, water bucks, lions, Hyenas, francolins, weavers and may more that you will view and take photos. The park's diverse ecosystems, including wetlands, savannah, and acacia woodlands, provide excellent opportunities for wildlife photography and game viewing, making it a must-visit destination for safari enthusiasts like you. You will return in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.


DAY  3

Amboseli National Park - Naivasha


You will have breakfast and have an optional visit at the Masai village then leave for Naivasha. You will stop at the rift valley view point for a scenic photo session, later head to Naivasha. You will be dropped off at your  hotel for check in and then proceed for lunch.
After lunch you will then head out for a Boat ride in Lake Naivasha to Crescent Island followed by a walking safari at the Elementaita wildlife sanctuary as the evening sets in. Here you get a one on one encounter with animals like giraffes and zebras. You will later head to your hotel for dinner and overnight. 


DAY  FOUR 4

Naivasha - Hell's Gate National Park


You will have breakfast at your hotel in Naivasha then head out to Hells Gate National Park. 
Hell's Gate National Park, located in Kenya's Rift Valley near Lake Naivasha, is renowned for its dramatic landscapes, including towering cliffs, geothermal springs, and the striking Hell's Gate Gorge. Unlike most national parks, it offers a more interactive experience where visitors can explore on foot, by bicycle, or through rock climbing. The park is home to diverse wildlife, such as zebras, giraffes, and various bird species, though it lacks large predators. Its unique scenery has inspired popular culture, notably serving as a setting for Disney's "The Lion King."
After those activities, you will go back to your hotel lodge for dinner and overnight stay.


DAY  5

Lake Nakuru National Park - Masai Mara National Reserve


After breakfast, you will check out of your hotel and head to Lake Nakuru for a morning game drive. Lake Nakuru National Park It is best known for its thousands of flamingos, black and white rhinos, rothschild giraffe, lions, zebras and many other species of birds.

After the game drive you will depart for Masai Mara with en-route lunch and you will check in your camp at the Mara where you will have your dinner and stay for overnight.


DAY  6

Masai Mara full day Game Drive


 You will have an early morning game drive returning to the camp for breakfast. After that, you will spent a full day at the Masai Mara game reserve driving across the plains in search of the big cats black manned lions, Cheetahs and leopards with picnic lunch served at the Mara River site. Vast herds of wildebeest and zebra wander across the Mara grasslands in huge numbers, zebras, and gazelle traverse the Mara plains landscape to feed on the rich new grass. You'll also have a chance to see other plain game like the Topi, Hartebeest, and Eland. 

At sun set , you will be taken back to your camp for dinner and overnight. 


DAY  7

Masai Mara National Reserve - Nairobi


You will have your morning breakfast and check out of your camp and depart for Nairobi. Both Masai Mara and Amboseli have optional Masai Village visits which you can decide to  visit. You will enjoy more game viewing as you head out and take the Mai Mahiu route which you will also enjoy the beautiful view of Mt. Longonot.

Your journey will end when you will be dropped off at your hotel in Nairobi or the city center or the airport.

He will then drive you to Ashnil Mara Camp or similar with a stop over at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint to take some pictures. Arrive in Masai Mara in time for lunch followed by check in and some rest after your healthy lunch. Thereafter you'll proceed on an evening game drive and return to your camp at sun set for your dinner and overnight stay.



DAY  2

Explore Maasai Mara on a full day game drive

Start your morning with a dawn balloon ride and return to your camp for breakfast after which you'll leave for a full day game drive carrying packed picnic lunch. The reserve is well known for its black-manned lion and is one of the few places where you have the chance to see the Big 5 during an early morning game drive. Many of the cheetahs are so tame they seek shelter from the hot sun under safari vehicles and several even climb onto the roof to get a better view of prospective prey. Explore Lake Nakuru & Transfer to Lake Naivasha


Start your morning with a dawn game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, watching the sunrise's colors light up the lake while watching wildlife come alive. The park is famous for birdwatching, with a myriad of colorful species to spot, including the famous pink flamingos, pelicans, spoon bills, Ibises and eagle fish.
Next, you'll transfer to Mundui House in Naivasha for your next accommodation. This picturesque hotel is located on the shores of Lake Oloiden within the ARR Private Wildlife Conservancy. It is nestled in the volcanic hills and open grasslands on the western edge of Lake Naivasha in the Great Rift Valley. The lawns which slope down to the lake shore are a favourite hangout and grazing spot for warthog, antelope, zebra, giraffe, hippo, buffalo and many species of birds.
From here you will explore the lakes and take a boat ride to the nearby Crescent Island animal sanctuary and get up-close encounters with animals like giraffes, zebras and wildebeests.

Naivasha - Masai Mara 


You'll be driven to Loldia Airstrip, where you'll take a domestic flight to the Masai Mara, Kenya's superlative wildlife-watching destination. TREKKING MOUNT KENYA

    3-Day Mount Kenya Trek Using the Sirimon Route
$988 to $1,228 pp

The Sirimon route comes from the west of Mount Kenya and passes through the dry side of the mountain. Giant trees and a rocky terrain awaits you here. You'll then descend onto the Sirimon path, where you can spot a totally different view with lush bamboo and highland forests which is one of the most scenic routes to the Lenana Peak of Mount Kenya. The Sirimon, offers a unique experience. The trek has a great variety of scenery and comes through this spectacular route.

DAY  1

Nairobi to Sirimon Gate and Commence Trekking to Old Moses Camp


You will be collected in the morning  with your driver guide at your Nairobi hotel or the airport for a drive to Nanyuki Town.

On arrival, you will have a briefing and equipment check. You will then be transferred to the Sirimon Gate of the Mount Kenya National Park ( 2,600 meters) with your packed lunches.

Afterwards you will embark on your 4 hour trekking expedition passing through forest, bamboo, rosewood and heather zones. Arrive at the Old Moses Camp ( 3340 meters) and have your overnight at the camp on half board basis.


DAY  2

Trek from Old Moses Camp to Shiptons Camp


You'll have breakfast at the Old Moses Camp and begin  the trek to test your individual fitness. You'll gain an elevation of 900 meters and onto the Mackinder's Valley.

Here, you will observe giant lobelia and groundsels. The trek on this day takes 8 hours. Trek onto the Shiptons Camp ( 4,200 meters), situated just below the glaciers and jagged peaks of bare rock that surround the main peaks of Mount Kenya. Dinner and your overnight stay are at Shiptons Camp on full board basis.


DAY  3

Trek to Point Lenana and Descend to Old Moses Camp for Transport to Nairobi


You'll take the 3:00 am attempt on Lenana Peak (4,985 meters). You'll require a bright spotlight for this.
You will pass through the steep screes and bare rock track, gaining an elevation of 750 meters. This section is tough going through frozen scree and requires some scrambling on the final strech to reach the hikers summit, Lenana Peak in time for sunrise.
Take some photos and begin the descent back to Shiptons Camp for breakfast. Continue the descent through to the Old Moses Camp for the transfer back to Nairobi. Arrive in the evening and you'll be dropped off at your Nairobi hotel or airport.

Day wise plan

DAY  1

Nairobi - Aberdare National Park


You'll depart Nairobi in the morning and drive through the scenic central highlands, passing tea and coffee plantations before arriving at Aberdare National Park. After check-in at the Aberdare Country Club (base hotel for The Ark) or Outspan Hotel (base for Treetops Lodge), enjoy lunch before transferring to your TreeTops lodge. These lodges are strategically located near watering holes and salt licks, allowing for exceptional wildlife viewing right from your balcony. Spend the afternoon and evening watching animals such as elephants, buffalo, and hyenas gather at the waterhole. Enjoy dinner and a peaceful overnight stay.


DAY  2

Full day Aberdare National Park


Wake up to the refreshing mountain air and enjoy breakfast while observing wildlife at the lodge’s viewing deck. Afterward, embark on a game drive through the park’s rugged terrain, exploring its moorlands, deep valleys, and waterfalls. Aberdare is home to an array of wildlife, including black rhinos, leopards, giant forest hogs, and colobus monkeys. You may also visit the breathtaking Karuru, Chania, or Gura waterfalls. In the afternoon, return to your lodge for more game viewing from the comfort of your lodge’s balcony or hideout. After dinner, spend the evening watching nocturnal animals as they emerge to drink at the waterhole.


DAY  3

Aberdare National Park - Nairobi


After breakfast, enjoy a final morning in the peaceful surroundings of Aberdare before checking out. Depart the park with a scenic drive back to Nairobi, arriving in the early afternoon. Drop-off at your Nairobi hotel or the airport marking the end of an unforgettable safari experience.

    'Khuminya' as they call it, is a Bukusu circumcision ceremony known as Imbalu. It is a significant cultural rite of passage for young Bukusu males, transitioning them into adulthood. It's a public event involving a series of rituals and ceremonies, emphasizing bravery, community, and the continuity of Bukusu traditions.

     The Imbalu is a crucial ceremony marking the transition from boyhood to manhood. It signifies a boy's readiness to take on the responsibilities and duties of an adult within the Bukusu community. 

    The circumcision is a communal event, witnessed by the entire community, strengthening social bonds and reaffirming the community's cultural identity. 

    The ceremony involves specific traditional practices
