
Overview
You will ascend Mount Kenya via Sirimon route and descend through the scenic Chogoria on the third day of your adventure. You'll trek from forest to alpine meadows, summit Point Lenana (4,985m) at sunrise, then explore the Gorges Valley, Lake Michaelson, and Nithi Falls. This perfect, short trek combines diverse landscapes, wildlife, and panoramic views across Africa’s second-highest mountain.

Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi - Sirimon Gate - Old Moses Camp
You'll leave Nairobi at 7:00 am and proceed to Sirimon Gate, where you will have lunch and begin your trek. From the gate follow the track as it winds uphill though the forest which later becomes heath land up-to Old Moses camp 3,300m at sea level. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the Old Moses camp cabin.

Day 2: Old Moses Camp to Shiptons Camp
After breakfast, you'll follow the track uphill, forking left at the junction. After one hour from Old Moses Camp, the track crosses the Ontulili River. You'll go right contouring through the Moorland and crossing Likii North, and continue uphill to Mackinder’s Valley, from where there are panoramic views up the valley towards the main peaks.
Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Shipton's Camp, 4,200m above sea level.

Day 3: Shiptons Camp to Point Lenana & Descend to Chogoria Gate
You'll leave at 2:00 am up a steep stony quarry that cuts through a cliff, clearing visible part towards Harris Tarn, arriving at point Lenana(4,985m at sea level) at 6:20 am, taking about 3 hours. After the sunrise, you'll descend to Mintos Camp for a hearty breakfast. After a short rest, you'll continue descending to the Road-head for lunch. Here, you will have the opportunity to visit Nithi Waterfalls before heading down to Chogoria gate, where you'll check out the park and take a 4x4 vehicle for a drop off at Chogoria Town, and say goodbye to the team. Later, you'll be transferred back to Nairobi at your hotel or the airport.

Itinerary
Day 1 Nairobi to Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Depart Nairobi in the morning after pick up from your hotel or airport and drive north through the scenic central highlands with views of Mount Kenya. Arrive at Ol Pejeta Conservancy in time for lunch and check in at your lodge or camp. In the afternoon, enjoy your first game drive in the conservancy, home to the Big Five and the only place in Kenya where you can see chimpanzees at the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary. Later, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2 Full Day Olpejeta
After breakfast, spend the day exploring the conservancy on a full-day game drive with a packed picnic lunch. Visit the Endangered Species Enclosure to see the world’s last two northern white rhinos and learn about the conservancy’s groundbreaking conservation work. Enjoy more wildlife viewing across the savannah, including chances to spot zebras, giraffes, and various antelope species. In the evening, return to your lodge to relax and enjoy dinner under the stars.
Day 3 Ol Pejeta, back to Nairobi
After breakfast, check out and drive to the Mount Kenya Wildlife Conservancy located near Nanyuki. Visit the Animal Orphanage, a rescue and rehabilitation center that provides care for injured, orphaned, and endangered animals such as leopards, monkeys, antelopes, and birds of prey. Learn about the conservancy’s efforts to protect Kenya’s wildlife and restore natural habitats. After the visit, proceed with your journey back to Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon for drop-off at your hotel or airport, marking the end of your safari.

Overview
This safari package will take you to some of the popular and unique parks in Kenya. The journey begins in Samburu, known for its rare species of wildlife. Then, you'll head to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, which hosts the largest rhino population in East Africa and is home to the last two remaining northern white rhinos in the world. The conservancy also protects rescued chimpanzees. You'll have the opportunity to visit the Sweetwater Chimpanzee Sanctuary, which is the only one of its kind in Kenya.

Itinerary
Day 1 Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve
Your driver guide will pick you up from the airport or your city hotel and take you on a scenic drive to Samburu National Reserve located in the north. During the drive, you will pass through the fertile highlands of Kenya, famous for its vibrant agricultural economy of tea and coffee. You'll stop at the equator line for a demonstration of the north and south and to use the VIP place before continuing on your journey to Samburu. You'll arrive in time for lunch after which you'll go on your first game drive in the afternoon a best opportunity to witness the amazing wildlife including the rare species of animals, such as the Gravy zebras, Somali ostrich, Reticulated giraffes, gerenuks, and the beisa oryx. You'll also learn about the cultural heritage of the Samburu people also known as the butterfly people. Finally, you'll retreat to the camp at sunset
Day 2 Samburu to Ol Pejeta
You'll have an early morning game drive then return to the lodge for a leisurely breakfast. Afterward, you'll pack up and drive south of Samburu to reach the Fairmont Safari Club in time for a late lunch and take some time to get familiar with the hotel which boasts an Orphanage and a nice view of Mount Kenya. In the late afternoon, you'll take a walk to the nearby animal orphanage that cares for orphaned, injured, and distressed wildlife, giving them a second chance to release these animals back into the wild once they are back to full health. You'll use one-hour then return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3 Ol Pejeta to Nairobi
Ol Pejeta is the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa and is home to two of the world's last remaining northern white rhinos. It is also the only location in Kenya where you can observe chimpanzees. The sanctuary was established to rehabilitate animals rescued from the black market. After the morning activities, you'll depart and head to Nairobi with a stopover lunch along the way , arriving back in Nairobi late in the evening. You will be dropped off at the airport or your hotel, marking the end of your safari.

Itinerary
Day 1 Nairobi to Ol Pejeta
You'll be picked up from your hotel or the airport at 6 am and drive for 2 and a half hours to arrive in Nanyuki town at 8.30 am with a stopover at the equator crossing for photography. From here you'll proceed for some 15 minutes and enter the gate. You'll start the first game drive for 3 hours taking you to see the chimpanzee and wild animals on the northern side of the vast conservancy. You'll arrive at Serena Waters Lodge or Moran Nanyuki at 2 pm for your lunch. Here, you will view the animals coming to the watering hole in front of the lodge to drink water while you enjoy taking photos of the resident monkeys at the lodge. From here you'll drive to the eastern side of the park, where you will visit a blind rhino called Baraka. Afterwards, enjoy an additional game drives en route to your hotel.
Dinner and overnight will be at Kongoni Camp/similar or upgrade upon request.
Day 2 Ol Pejeta to Mount Kenya and back to Nairobi
At exactly 7:00 am check out from your Hotel and drive to Mount Kenya through Sirimon Gate. Complete park entry formalities at the Sirimon Gate and begin a 3½ hour (9 km) hike through forest, bamboo, rosewood, and heather zones to Old Moses camp (also called Judmeier Camp) at 3300 meters
You'll gain 740 meters on the ascent and begin to truly acclimatize. The forest and bamboo are home to hundreds of buffalo, elephants, bushbucks, and a plethora of bird species. You'll hike a little higher about 1 km from Old Moses camp, to 3600 meters to see 2 Mount Kenya peaks, Nelion and Batian next to each other. These peaks are climbed only by professional alpinists. After taking pictures, you'll descend from 3600 meters to Old Moses camp at 3300 meters for our picnic lunch.
At 2:00 pm after lunch we descend down for 9 km’s (1.5 hours) to Sirimon gate where you'll get your driver guide and transfer back to Nairobi to arrive around 1800hrs.
