Day 1: Nairobi to Samburu
Your Safari driver-guide will pick you up from your Nairobi hotel or airport in the morning and brief you on your safari. After that, drive north across the equator, passing through changing landscapes and vibrant towns along the way. Arrive at Samburu National Reserve in time and check in at Samburu Sopa Lodge and enjoy a delicious lunch. After a short rest, head out for an afternoon game drive across the reserve’s rugged terrain. Day 2: Full Day Samburu National Reserve Exploration
You'll enjoy an early breakfast at Samburu Sopa Lodge before setting out for a full-day game drive in Samburu National Reserve and exploring the park’s striking landscapes of acacia-dotted plains, riverine forests, and rugged hills. Your guide will help you locate lions, cheetahs, elephants, and the unique wildlife species found only in northern Kenya, such as the gerenuk and Grevy’s zebra. You'll then take a break for a picnic lunch by the Ewaso Nyiro River, where animals often come to drink. In the afternoon, continue your adventure and visit different areas of the reserve for new sightings and scenic views. At sun sets, return to the Lodge for dinner, relaxation, and another peaceful night in the wild.
Day 3: Samburu to Nairobi
On this day, rise up early for a morning game drive in Samburu National Reserve, watching the park awaken with elephants, antelopes, and predators on the move. After that, return to the Lodge for breakfast, freshen up and check out by 10:00 AM. Before exiting the reserve, you may choose to visit a traditional Samburu village at your own cost to learn about the community’s fascinating culture, customs, and way of life. Afterwards, begin your scenic drive back to Nairobi enjoying beautiful countryside views with an en route lunch. You'll arrive in the late afternoon for a drop-off at your hotel or the airport, ending your Samburu Safari Adventure with lasting memories to take back home.

Day 1 Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve
Your safari will begins with a morning pick up from your hotel or the airport and be taken for a flight from Wilson Airport in Nairobi to Samburu airstrip taking about 1.5 hours. Upon landing, you'll be welcomed by your driver-guide and be transferred to a luxury safari camp, where you'll check in and enjoy a hot lunch. After a short rest, embark on your first game drive in the Reserve, famous for its rare northern species such as the Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, gerenuk, and Beisa oryx—collectively known as the "Samburu Special Five." At sun set, return to the camp for dinner and your overnight stay.
Day 2 Full Day Samburu Reserve Exploration
Wake up to the sounds of the bush and enjoy an early morning game drive which is the best time to spot predators like lions, leopards, and cheetahs on the hunt. After that, return for breakfast at the lodge. You may choose to relax at the pool or do a cultural visit at a nearby Samburu village, where you’ll learn about traditional customs, dress, and their way of life. In the afternoon, set out on another game drive to explore different areas of the Reserve, perhaps along the Ewaso Nyiro River a vital water source that attracts a wide variety of wildlife. You'll end the day by returning for a candlelit dinner at the camp and your overnight stay.
Day 3 Samburu, back to Nairobi
On your final day, enjoy a leisurely breakfast or one last early morning game drive, depending on your flight schedule. After checking out, you'll be transferred to the airstrip for your return flight to Nairobi. Upon arrival at Wilson Airport, you will be taken to JKIA for your onward flight back home or be transferred to your hotel. The short safari ends with unforgettable memories of the wildlife and culture of the Samburu people.

This safari package will take you to some of the popular and unique parks in Kenya. The journey begins in Samburu, known for its rare species of wildlife. Then, you'll head to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, which hosts the largest rhino population in East Africa and is home to the last two remaining northern white rhinos in the world. The conservancy also protects rescued chimpanzees. You'll have the opportunity to visit the Sweetwater Chimpanzee Sanctuary, which is the only one of its kind in Kenya.

Day 1 Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve
Your driver guide will pick you up from the airport or your city hotel and take you on a scenic drive to Samburu National Reserve located in the north. During the drive, you will pass through the fertile highlands of Kenya, famous for its vibrant agricultural economy of tea and coffee. You'll stop at the equator line for a demonstration of the north and south and to use the VIP place before continuing on your journey to Samburu. You'll arrive in time for lunch after which you'll go on your first game drive in the afternoon a best opportunity to witness the amazing wildlife including the rare species of animals, such as the Gravy zebras, Somali ostrich, Reticulated giraffes, gerenuks, and the beisa oryx. You'll also learn about the cultural heritage of the Samburu people also known as the butterfly people. Finally, you'll retreat to the camp at sunset
Day 2 Samburu to Ol Pejeta
You'll have an early morning game drive then return to the lodge for a leisurely breakfast. Afterward, you'll pack up and drive south of Samburu to reach the Fairmont Safari Club in time for a late lunch and take some time to get familiar with the hotel which boasts an Orphanage and a nice view of Mount Kenya. In the late afternoon, you'll take a walk to the nearby animal orphanage that cares for orphaned, injured, and distressed wildlife, giving them a second chance to release these animals back into the wild once they are back to full health. You'll use one-hour then return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3 Ol Pejeta to Nairobi
Ol Pejeta is the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa and is home to two of the world's last remaining northern white rhinos. It is also the only location in Kenya where you can observe chimpanzees. The sanctuary was established to rehabilitate animals rescued from the black market. After the morning activities, you'll depart and head to Nairobi with a stopover lunch along the way , arriving back in Nairobi late in the evening. You will be dropped off at the airport or your hotel, marking the end of your safari.

Itinerary
Day 1 Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve
After a briefing by your Safari guide , your safari will start taking you through vast coffee, tea, and pineapple plantations in the country's Central region. You'll pass through small but vibrant towns and villages past the foot of Mount Kenya, the 2nd-highest mountain in Africa. Continue further north to Samburu National Reserve, where you will arrive at your lodge in good time for check-in and lunch. After lunch, embark on an afternoon game-viewing drive until sunset, when you return to your lodge.
Day 2 Full Day Samburu
Start the day with an early morning game drive and return to the lodge mid-morning for breakfast then have some time to rest and enjoy the lodge facilities, followed by lunch. After lunch, proceed for an afternoon game drive or opt for a visit at a Samburu manyatta (village). Samburu National Reserve has scattered woodlands, dry grasslands, and riverside forests along the Ewaso Ng’iro River. You can spot Samburu's special 5 species – gerenuk, Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, and Somali ostrich - only found north of the equator. The park also has many lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants, and antelopes, among many other wildlife and birds.
Day 3 Samburu to Lake Nakuru National Park
Enjoy breakfast and then check out of the lodge and enjoy your last morning game drive as you travel to Lake Nakuru National Park arriving in time for lunch. After lunch, proceed for an afternoon game drive in the premier park where you can spot most wildlife in just a day. After the game drive, return to your camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 4 Lake Nakuru to Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, depart for Amboseli National Park, known for its stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro with an en route lunch. Arrive in the afternoon at your lodge and relax before you embark on an evening game drive in Amboseli where you'll encounter large elephant herds and various wildlife. Return to your lodge for dinner and your over night.
Day 5 Full Day Amboseli National Park
Start your day with an early morning game drive to capture the beauty of Amboseli at sunrise returning to your lodge for breakfast. Venture out again for a full day of exploration, tracking the iconic big five and other wildlife species with packed picnic lunch for maximum park exploration. At sun set, return to your lodge for dinner and relaxation.
Day 6 Amboseli to Nairobi
Enjoy a final morning game drive in Amboseli, soaking in the sights and sounds of this wildlife-rich park then return to your lodge for breakfast. Exit Amboseli and start your journey back to Nairobi cherishing the unforgettable wildlife encounters and landscapes you've experienced. Arrive in Nairobi and be dropped off at your hotel or the airport marking the end of your memorable safari.
